Dr. Michael Steckman is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He earned his Medical Degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he also completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine. Dr. Steckman completed his Fellowship in the sub-specialty of Gastroenterology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has been practicing in the Hudson Valley since 1983.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Steckman has been actively involved in teaching resident doctors. He holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at NICOM and Clinical Assistant Professor at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Steckman has served as the past Chairman of the Department of Medicine of the Kingston Hospital and as the past President of the medical staff at the Benedictine Hospital. He was the founder and President of Hudson Valley Gastroenterology, P.C. for 39 years before coming to the Hudson Valley Endoscopy center.
